An Interesting Morning

This cougar was found just blocks from where we live this morning! There were 3 calls to 911 from people saying they had seen a cougar, so 911 started calling people in the neighborhood to bring their children and pets inside. We had a helicopter flying around trying to find it, and the elementary school kids had to stay inside for recess. They found it pretty quickly, though, and it didn't hurt anybody.
On another subject, I was able to go up to Idaho this weekend to visit my sister and see my niece get baptized. My parents were there, as well as another of my nieces with her 3 week old baby. He is very cute and never cries unless his dad changes his diaper. If you want to see him, click on the link to the Blair family blog on my blog list. It was so much fun to see everyone for the second time this month. We always have a good time together playing Trivial Persuit and talking.

Mothers Day

What a fun weekend! My sister, Jeny, somehow managed to get all of my siblings except for the two oldest to make the trip to Colorado to surprize our mom for Mothers Day. She was very surprized and happy to see us. I think her favorite part was introducing all of us in church on Sunday. I took Shannon, and my sister, Amy, brought her youngest son, Zach. He is only 4 months older than Shannon, so they had a lot of fun together. The first picture is them playing Ring around the Rosies. They were very cute. We all stayed up way too late every night, and woke up to early every morning we were there, because we didn't want to waste any of the time we had together. Needless to say, we are all exhausted now!

Yesterday we went to the Salt Lake temple to attend the wedding of Matt's brother, Sam. It was a perfect day and a very nice ceremony. Shannon got a new dress to match her cousins, and she looked just beautiful. Here she is with a grape in her mouth to keep her from crying because it was way past nap time. She had a lot of fun just walking around and playing with her family. Matt and I were up until 3:00 on Friday night helping to get everything ready, so by the time we got home last night we were exhausted.
