My family now has a blog, so I am going to be repeating my posts on two different blogs, but I have a lot of friends who are probably not interested in what my sister did last week, so I will continue to keep up this blog. Anyway, yesterday I took Shannon to the zoo. We met up with my sister-in-law and her family. I really thought that Shannon would be interested in the animals this time, but she was a lot more interested in all of the other kids there. She just loves to play with other kids! It was fun, though. We spent 4 hours there, finishing up with a ride on the little train. Shannon was exhausted by the time we left. These are pictures of her with her favorite cousin, Hannah. Shannon wanted to walk instead of riding in the stroller, so I made her hold hands with Hannah. She's very independant, though, and tried to wander off many times.

Baby Shower
This weekend was a blast! On Friday night I took Shannon and we went to my sister, Jeny's house to spend the night. One of my other sisters, Mindy, drove down from Pocatello, Idaho, so we stayed up until 2:00 talking. On Saturday morning we went to my niece, Nickell's, baby shower. She has been waiting a long time to have a baby, so it is really exciting. All of my aunts came, and some of my niece's friends that I hadn't seen in years, so it was a really fun party. One of the highlights was the waffle bar. The waffles were made from a special recipe that includes yeast, but that's all I know so far. I hope to get the recipe from Nickell soon, because they really were as good as they were made out to be. We ate and talked, Nickell opened her presents, then we talked some more. Afterwords we took yet another of my sisters, Kristi, back to Jeny's and we sat outside to enjoy the warm weather. Shannon discovered the sand box in Jeny's yard, and she was busy for hours. Too bad we live in an apartment, or I could make her one! I really enjoy spending time with my sisters. I wish they all lived closer so that we could get together more often.

I'm a blogger!
At the request of multiple friends and family members, I have officially become a blogger. I don't know how up-to-date I will be able to keep this, but I have the goal to write something new every week. We shall see!
Where do I start? Well, since we sent out Christmas letters, most, if not all of you should know what is happening in our lives. Shannon is growing like a weed. She loves to sing Do Re Mi, Happy Birthday, and her ABCs. She makes us laugh every day. We couldn't love her any more! Matt has 7 weeks left in the school year, and he plans to spend the summer finishing his novel. I am confident it will be published, but we have no idea where to start. If anyone knows a good literary agent, let us know! I'm still a homemaker, and I enjoy it very much.
This weekend was the General Conference of our church, where we get to listen to our prophet and other leaders. I really enjoyed Elder Bednar's talk on praying with faith. He gave some good examples of how we can improve our prayers, and the stories he told were very good.
That's all I have to say for now. I hope you all enjoy!
